So about Stormveil Castle… When you first enter, there are a few guards out on the cliff that are easy enough to deal with; fine. Then you go inside the building and they start throwing Molotov cocktails at you. Dodge them, but be careful, there are also exploding barrels scattered throughout. Now, I’m not sure why anyone would block their emergency exits with high explosives, but sure, let’s just go with it.
After going up some stairs, you soon reach a locked door; well it wouldn’t be the first one, and it probably won’t be the last. Eventually you find an unlocked door. You open it and proceed into a dark room, when suddenly, the door shuts and locks behind you; sealing you in with a knight, and let me tell you, this guy is TOUGH. You can parry him a few times to get some hits in, but he quickly goes nuts and starts frenziedly attacking with unblockable sword slashes. WTF.
I spent a solid half hour trying to beat him, more than any other boss or enemy so far in the game, and that knight is so far from a save point, I almost quit the game. At that point, I decided to take a break and watch a Bergman movie, figuring a dose of Scandinavian existential dread would cheer me right up. Here is a screen cap in case you also need a pick me up!

After that, I looked up some videos on YouTube on how to beat the guy, went back in, and stabbed the ****er in the back.
That was my greatest challenge yet, but it was dealt with, and now I could start exploring the castle. Oh! But wouldn’t you know it? The damn place is full of these ****ers. I figured they might be slightly easier to deal with. I figured wrong. Well, time to find somewhere else to explore! This is what Shaw looked like after about an hour in Stormveil Castle. My girl was so over it.

So I went back to Limgrave, cleared out a few mines and tunnels and headed back to the Weeping Peninsula, looking for anything I might have missed, and sure enough, I had somehow missed the bloody great erdtree in the middle of the place. I set out for the tree. For reference, here is the place I didn’t notice or forgot to explore (red arrows added for effect):

Once I reached it, I found a giant Ent-looking thing, that proceeded to repeatedly kick my ass.
So basically, I think I have reached a wall with this game. Everything left is either manageable, but I’ve done it before, or way too difficult for me. SEND HELP
Anyway, here’s some dude named Rogier that I met in the castle. He was originally going to be part of another story update, but I was getting too frustrated to come up with anything.
