The Elden Lords were completely clueless, and their series of bad decisions would inevitably lead to their downfall, being left with nought but mindless soldiers and zombies to defend them, their most loyal and capable underlings having long since left to serve more capable leaders, but I digress.

When last we left our faithful hero Shaw, she was hesitating on the threshold of the Raya Lucaria academy. That was yesterday. Today, she had some frustrations to vent, and the denizens of this place of learning would be the unfortunate recipients of her outbursts.

At first, things were relatively calm, but Shaw soon found her progress barred by a pair of stone-face conjurers. She could not quite figure out how to properly block or dodge their attacks, so she died. With 14k runes on the staircase, she decided to be more deliberate, carefully luring them closer, separating them, and sticking them with crossbow bolts.

What followed were a series of tense encounters with undead fuckers, who leached both life and magic power once they grabbed Shaw. Once again, she found herself questioning the design choices of the architects of the Lands Between; stuffing every available space on the school grounds with graves, when the deceased had a propensity for reanimating and attacking the living, did not seem conducive to academic success.

Nevertheless, she persisted, and found a cool-looking set of armor. She eventually came upon a system of gears, conveyor belts, and platforms; aside from the occasional lift, this was the first sign of technology she could recall seeing in this world. The academy must have an engineering department.

Once she reached a site of grace, Shaw decided to rest for the night, having had her fill of being creeped out for today.
