It had been over a month since Shaw’s last update. What used to be a daily occurrence, gradually dwindled down to every few days, then to weekly, and then to nothing.

Her quest was not yet finished, but she was approaching the end. Perhaps the lack of updates was her way of postponing the inevitable conclusion, maybe progress was becoming too difficult, or maybe the creative spark was just gone.

In any case, Shaw did make some progress; she found her way down to the giant seated skeleton.

She posed next to herself before a long stone bridge in the mountains.

She got a new dog named Frida.

She reunited her jellyfish with her sister (oops, yes apparently the jellyfish is female).

She defeated a fire giant by severing his leg and beating on him while he was rolling around in the snow.

Which led her to a gigantic cauldron and for some reason made her decide to start playing with fire.

Following this, Shaw made her way to the appropriately named Crumbling Farum Azula, a place which consists of floating architecture, debris, and constant tornadoes.

Here she defeated some dragons, a pair of bosses, from the Lands Between pro-wrestling league, called the Godskin Duo. Sadly, she also ran into her good friend Iron-Fist Alexander, and gave him his final wish, by defeating him in single combat.

After that dispiriting encounter, Shaw’s progress through the area ground to a halt when she was confronted with a Crucible Knight. The concept of normal enemies in the game which are tougher to defeat than any boss, would never cease to piss her off. Even with all her talismans and rune arcs, these awful fuckers still kill her in 2-3 shots while taking little damage. She hates them so much, they almost ruin what would otherwise be a perfect game.
Since she was stuck at an impasse, she decided to go looking for the Haligtree entrance. She already had both halves of the medallion, so this should have been a simple task. Instead she watched multiple videos, read multiple reddit threads and walkthroughs, before finally finding one that explained that to present the medallion, she had to press the left or right arrows at the appropriate spot so that the prompt would change from “Present Medallion” to “Present Secret Medallion.” Not the most intuitive of UI choices.
