Day 42. Where most people would feel excitement at discovering a new area, Shaw felt only fear and trepidation. Sure, Liurnia of the Lakes looked beautiful, but everything was so scary and unfamiliar. Shaw had grown comfortable in the green hills of Limgrave; having explored every part of the lower map, she knew where all the dangers were, and thus felt relatively at ease, but here, the safety blanket had been ripped off, and she once again took on the role of a skittish bunny rabbit, darting from one site of grace to another, avoiding all enemies.

She did meet a down-on-his-luck wizard

…and a woman whose necklace was stolen by a ruffian.

Earlier that evening, before diving into the Lands Between, Shaw did attempt a brief side quest through an Unfinished Swan, but something about the first person perspective was making her feel nauseous. It was beautiful and interesting; she would need to come back to it. Also, after defeating Godrick, she wasn’t about to let some honking waterfowl get away from her.

Later that evening, she plotted reopening the great pastry naming debate, that divided families, broke up relationships, severed long lasting friendships, and sent countries to war.
