Shaw’s search for the elusive Volcano Manor continued, and she assumed it was somewhere down the road, past the abductor virgins (see Update #64). Instead what she found were corpses, a lot of corpses, of both humans and giants, hanging upside down, serving as makeshift windchimes.

The road turned out to be a dead end, leading to an impassable collapsed bridge, so Shaw went in a different direction. After clearing some catacombs and a cave, she eventually ended at the mouth of well-defended passage, where flame-spewing green skulls on wheels patrolled the perimeter of an imposing structure in the near distance. Could this be Volcano Manor?

It was not Volcano Manor, it was a place called Fort Laeidd. Aside from a big red guy with a giant hammer, a ghost, and a scorpion talisman, there was not much of note in this fort. Another blind alley. Heading West from the fort towards a pretty lava field, Shaw encountered another ill-tempered magma wyrm barring her progress.

This would not do. Shaw was in a hurry to get to Volcano Manor, but she forgot why, and this splenetic overgrown lizard was being a giant pain in the ass, so Shaw felled it, as she did we so many others before it.

Now free to explore the lava field, Shaw ran into her old friend Alexander, who seemed to be in the middle of some important business.

After a brief conversation, Shaw realized this current path was going nowhere slow, and it was getting close to 9pm. If she was going to get to Volcano Manor and write her update before bedtime, it was time for a shortcut. Now normally, she would have asked Bronwen the Bold what to do, but it was outside of work hours, and she did not feel like waiting, so she abased herself and looked up the information on YouTube. Rya had given her an invitation, this sounded vaguely familiar, and apparently she was just waiting around the top of the Grand Dectus Lift, just blending in with her surroundings.

Following some brief hand stuff…

Shaw was teleported inside Volcano Manor. Ahem, VOLCAAAANO MAAAANOR!

What did this mysterious woman have to say? To find out, Shaw’s readers would have to hold on for one more day.*

*The song just happened to be playing as I was finishing this update.
