So apparently I missed some stuff in both the Weeping Peninsula (surprising) and Stormveil Castle (not so surprising).
In the old peninsula, I somehow missed pretty much this whole section (outlined in red), including the Impaler’s Catacombs.

As for the catacombs, not much to report, lots of zombies topped off with an Erdtree Burial Watchdog. Of note, this one killed my wolves almost immediately, so I had to beat him with skill (ugh, gross).

Honestly, if I could sit back and let my summons do the work for every boss, this would be a perfect game. Getting good is vastly overrated.
What else? Oh right, Stormveil Castle. I didn’t so much miss this part, I knew it existed, but since I ran through most of this place in a mad panic, I didn’t really have time to explore, beyond finding the next site of grace. The place I am referring to, of course, is the Divine Tower of Limgrave.

This place lets you unlock Godrick’s Great Rune. Cool, right? I wouldn’t know, because the game doesn’t tell you what the fuck that is. It’s yet another thing you have to either intuit or Google. I haven’t actually looked into it, at the time of this writing, beyond just getting a link to a description that I could use for the opening sentence of this paragraph.

Finally, I also tried to fight a Night’s Cavalry, a big black knight, in the Weeping Peninsula, who only shows up at night. I met this particular fellow the first time Shaw ventured down here, and he caved her skull in with one decisive hit of his flail. Those were early days though; Shaw was much more levelled now, had better equipment and skills. So after a good 5-10 minutes, her skull had been caved in again. She did not land a single hit, or at least none that caused any damage. Hmm. Need to watch this video.
Liurnia of the Lakes will have to wait for now, since there seems to be plenty of exploring left in Stormveil Castle. Shaw likes to clear out areas as much as possible before moving on, it’s just her way.
