Remember when I said yesterday that Shaw tried fighting the Night’s Cavalry in the Weeping Peninsula and did not land a single hit? Well, anyway, now he’s dead. Shaw doesn’t like leaving unfinished business.

Either because of coincidence, faith, or some other strange power guiding her hand, Shaw next went to the site of grace and spoke to the man in the white mask. He seemed impressed that she defeated Godrick, and recommended she pay a visit to the Roundtable Hold.

Essentially, Shaw had heard that Roderika may be able to upgrade her spirit summons. After some back and forth with the blacksmith, she managed to convince Roderika that she possesses some power. Now we wait for the next mysterious step that will actually unlock this ability.

After some more wanderin’ round the hold, Shaw discovered a newly unlocked room, the centerpiece of which was a pair of giant decrepit fingers. Interesting.

A crone perched on a table nearby introduced herself as Enia, the Finger Reader.

She seemed to either have some sort of telepathic link with the giant fingers, or she was talking to herself.

Helpfully she offered to exchange some Godrick artifact for solid goods: an axe or a dragon shield. Shaw chose the axe, because she likes to smash baddies with sharp things.

Next, Shaw visited the dude in the library. He had a lot of backstory to share about the various demi-gods and their whereabouts. Apparently, he is also Nepheli’s father.

Having exhausted all conversations in the hold, on the advice of Laurie the Lambent, Shaw set out for Siofra River, to light some pillars. She found most of them.

But not before being pierced by a few massive glowing arrows, which amusingly stay stuck through her for a few seconds before dematerializing.

Once all the pillars were lit, she proceeded to fight and defeat the Ancestor Spirit. Here was another one that instantly killed her spirit summons, so Shaw had to learn and dodge his attacks. Ugh. After two attempts, the deed was done.

After running around in circles for a solid five minutes, she found the exit, and decided to rest.
